Google Chrome
Have you tried Google Chrome? The new web browser Google has launched is very different, innovative, and fun!
"A browser built for speed, stability and security" :)

Search from the address bar ...
Type in the address bar and get suggestions for both search and web pages.
Thumbnails of your top sites ...
Access your favorite pages instantly with lightning speed from any new tab.
Private browsing ...
Open an incognito window when you don't want to save your browsing history. (This I found especially interesting :)
"Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier." Find Out More About What Google Chrome Can Do With It's One Box For Everything Design :)

Google Blogger Updates

As of December 2008 the mass coolness of some of the Google blogger Updates is quite staggering. You can now import and export to and from your Google Blogspot blog :) Wooooot! to Google :)
Merge 2 or more blogs together into one, move individual posts from blog to blog, cross publish your posts on multiple blogs, or transfer large batches of posts from one blog to another with a single click :) Neato! Back up your blogs to your own storage or hard drive and transfer content to and from other blogging platforms as well. Just go to the Settings Basic tab of your Blogger once you are logged in.
Mobile Blogging is fairly new as well and the tutorial on Blogger Buzz explains it all.
The newest gadgets (widgets for your sidebar) at Blogspot are the Blog List (which Rocks!) it allows you to import your Google Reader which acts as a live refresher for your blog (much like adding fresh content). Display a list of other Bloggers that follow your blog with the Followers Gadget :) Add a slide show from Picasa, Flickr, Photobucket, or other slide show site from a keyword or album name with an option to open the link in a new window so your visitors can easily get back to your blog. The new subscription Link is brilliant. You no longer have to rely on sites like FeedBurner to get a subscription going from your blog :)
These listed were only some of the Basic Sidebar additions to Blogspot :) Click on the Add Gadget link in your Layout area and see some of the categories as well for things like search for widgets, News, Tools, Communication, Finance, Sports, and more.
The new Reactions addition is also brilliant :) Locate this new addition by viewing your Layout page and clicking on Layouts Area, Page Elements, Edit in the Blog Posts Element, then check the box next to Reactions and change the default Reactions if you wish :) You will need to change from Classic Template to Layout to use reactions.
Picasa for Mac and Picasa Movie editing is also exciting news.
Don't forget to subscribe to sites like Google Buzz and Google's Official Blogsite here at Blogger :)

Google Me Language Tools

Googles Language Tools Site is yet another handy site of Googles for the World Wide Web to use :)
"Type a search phrase in your own language to easily find pages in another language. We'll translate the results for you to read." Thats it, super easy. My friend Hank Dunckel just said he spoke with a French speaking man for over an hour using this. Hank doesn't speak a word of French and the other man does not speak English, no worries :)
I just had to add my very favorite of all time (so far lol ;) Google Graphic :)

Google Me Zimbio
Zimbio has an awesome site. Write an article, ping your blog, create a wikizine, create a Zimbio.com widget to share all of your wikizines on Blogger or Wordpress. Ohhhhh... Whats a wikizine? Ok. :) A wikizine is very much like a Hubpage or Squidoo Lens. You add articles, links, photos, or graphics, videos, news, polls, notes, about, and history where other Zimbio users can add like items to contribute to your wikizine, like an online magazine with multiple writers and one creator :)
Create a wikizine cover page too! Your style, your magazine cover, you start a wikizine to begin discussing a new topic or to share what you know. When your wikizine has enough content Zimbio will publish it. So, keep adding content until its published for best results. It took me about a half an hour to get each of my wikizines published and full enough of content at Zimbio.
Check out my site at Zimbio http://www.Zimbio.com/member/Wavecritter
Get your current events on Zimbio as well. Today in Pictures, updated wikizines, topics in the news, sponsors, browse wikizines by title, inside current events, cast your votes, polls, and listings. All by clicking the current events tab near the top center of the home page. Click pictures, entertainment, style, or sports tabs or the "more" dropdown for much more. Many topics, find members, quick links, all updates, and whats new from your dashboard, quick links, and ping your blog, write an article, and get your browser button (nice tool for sharing finds along the way). This is so cool after you install, too easy when you are reading an article or visiting a site that is interesting and relevant to one of your wikizines, click the browser button, you will see the add content menu, select the zine where you would like to add and save your content to.
From there, you can choose the content you would like to bookmark (like the specific photo or feed), click save and you are done :) Then, quickly head right back to the site you started at.
Zimbio.com is very much like a micro mini blog, wiki, Squidoo Lens or Hubpage melded as one unique blog site.

David Maillie, Google, and Ezine Articles
This was so brilliant I had to share this with all of you:
David Maillie said:
"Basically, there is a much deeper issue at play here. Its that the internet is over saturated with content and so great, quality content will rise to the top and poor quality rambles, thinly written articles and plagiarized content wil fall back where it belongs in the supplemental index. Google search keeps track of inbound links, references, stickiness (if someone is drawn to the website and looks at other pages or quickly clicks away) and more to measure the worthiness of a page of content. One super high quality, well written and researched article can easily give you better results than several thousand poorly or average written articles. There are some articles on the net that by themselves get more unique visits than all of the top 1000 authors here on ezinearticles put together! This is the theory behind linkbait - if you take the time to build it right, the masses will come."

Time CNN Google and Facebook

Time, CNN, Google, and Facebook are all outstanding sites. Jim Cobb sent me a cool link to a great article that I wanted to be certain everyone had seen...
"The initiative is called Friend Connect and it begins tonight when any site can apply to be in the Google pilot program (they call it a "preview release") here. Note: that site won't be live until Monday night. During the next few days, Google will choose one or two dozen sites to participate. Over the course of the next several months, the company will collect site, user and developer feedback on how the program is working. Then, if all goes well, in a few months Google will open up Friend Connect to any website or blog that wants to participate." Google Has Aquired Feedburner
Hi Everyone,
You know, I am missing somethings here and there along the way in the way of news with what Google is doing! Holy Cow is Google busy! I just wanted to be certain that I help get the word out because Google is moving quickly and the expanse is getting huge! Check this out:
"Q. What is FeedBurner?
A: FeedBurner is a Chicago-based company that provides media distribution and audience engagement services for blogs and RSS feeds. Its Web-based tools, including an extensive feed and blog advertising network, help publishers promote, deliver, and monetize their content on the Web and make feed-based content more accessible and manageable for its end users.
Q. Why did Google acquire FeedBurner?
A. Google believes that feed-based content and advertising is a developing space where we can add value for users, advertisers and publishers. FeedBurner's technology and talented team are a great addition to Google's current solutions for advertisers and publishers." READ MORE FAQS: http://www.feedburner.com/google

Google Me Twitter
What a brilliant article from San Francisco Gate! The founders of Six Apart, the San Francisco New media Start Up That Runs Vox, Typepad, and Movable type blogging platforms, they aren't GOOGLE, but an interesting story nonetheless!
"Some using Twitter
Twitter, in an informal count posted by one member, has attracted hundreds of busy mothers who like how quickly they can update their friends and family about what they're doing. Developed in San Francisco, Twitter's micro-blogging service operates in short bursts: Messages are 140 characters or less, sent out via instant message or text message.
Take Meg Hourihan, co-founder of Blogger - later acquired by Google - who is now a food blogger, entrepreneur and mother in New York.
Only her close friends knew about her pregnancy, so only those in the know could guess from her cryptic Twitter updates that the birth of her son was near last summer. "

Google Me The Movie and Jim Killeen

Jim Killeens adventure through the search engines of GOOGLE to the far corners of the Earth have given him a knowledge one can only obtain throughout the journey.
Our lives and technology have become interwoven. Computers are now a focus of our daily lives rather than an addition to the tasks we perform each day. Strictly checking our occasional emails has become a thing of the past. Bringing the computers out of the den and into the main living area of the home for researching information, watching videos and sometimes gathering advice on the many websites available through the world-wide web. GOOGLE has produced the greatest impression and has enabled web users to connect, seek, and ultimately locate each other.
Webster's Dictionary has included the word GOOGLE as a verb in their listings and has officially made it a part of the English Language. The definition of this word is to look up, investigate, to explore, to seek out, or acquire answers. The refreshing addition to our verbiage of the twenty first century, is not only clever but useful. This lone word was invented and given the use for and definition of, by a single company started as ideas in a college dormitory and exploded into a daily need of millions every day.
Jim Killeen has taken this search engine highway experience and turned it into a documentary soon to be released. The director and creator is working on this documentary of his travels seeking out other men of same name that he discovered while GOOGLE searching his own name.
Jim Killeens GOOGLE search of himself, ultimately set him on this quest for "himself". He found seven others labeled with the very name he was given at birth. His adventure takes off, quite literally, on an airplane to Ireland to meet with a man of the cloth. In his searches, he discovered a corporate VP in Saint Louis, a traffic engineer in Scotland, a retired Police Officer in New York, and a CEO in Australia. The adventure takes him along on his travels to meet the men who share his name from many different cities, towns, situations, and lifestyles. He was quoted to hold concern and hope by saying "I wanted them to be doing well in life."
Now that the film is in its final stages of development, Jim Killeen will be making public appearances, being highlighted in newspaper write ups, and being a guest speaker on radio spots. Technology is brilliant, but I think the doorway into a destiny does not always lead you to the same end. He traveled through the Internet door of a seemingly inhuman world, that brought him closer to the human interaction we crave and seek venturing onto the World Wide Web initially, but often are not aware of our needs until they present themselves.
