Google Me Custom Searches

A newness to the Google Custom Searches, where you can actually create an in site or on topic special search engine customized for you, your special interest group, your business, non profit, Government, or Educational group.

You can select certain sites to add your search engine or keywords to only search for these. This is real handy for Education sites especially to block certain sites from a search session.

Google Lively Petition Awareness Livelyzens

I wanted to post this information for the Google Lively fans out there (Yes, I am one :) Check out Solum on Blog Talk Radio as this is who sent me this message:

The Livelyzens (Lively users) are coming together to appeal to Google to keep Lively alive. Lively is a great platform for interaction as well as creativity. It is easy to use, browser based, embeddable on webpages to bring a 3D experience right on your website.

While Lively has been in beta and has limited capability in terms of the objects and avatars available, the Livelyzens have been able to come up with very creative ways to create art from what is available. All this in a 3D world thanks to Google's vigilance in getting rid of rooms with inappropriate content. More than anything, Lively has become a place to make friends for life – from all over the world with wonderful people.

Please visit our website http://livelyzens.com and participate in the Lively Machinima contest we are conducting to show the creative potential of Google Lively.

Please also sign our online petition http://livelyzens.com/petition.aspx We kindly request netizens to support us in reviving a wonderful 3D world that is a kid friendly and a creative space for art and interaction amongst adults.

Everyone go check out the site and sign the petition! We did :) Blogs and Social Networks Blog Talk Radio with Stevie and Stephanie Haile aka Blogheiress and Wavecritter :)

Want To Be In The Movies?

Want To Be In The Movies Tips and Tricks

Windows Movie Maker Is FREE! Chances are very good this is already on your computer. Click on your Start menu and check for Windows Movie Maker. After you locate it, open up Windows Movie Maker.

You will need a camera system installed on your computer to create a moving video or live video, but if you do not have a camera, you can still create a video. It is a frame video with a talk over or narration. These are the types of how to videos I have made and enjoy watching and learning from others.

With Windows Movie Maker, take time to view and get used to the navigation screen. Look down the list of capture, edit, finish, and movie making tips. Under the capture video tab on the left, if you have a camera you would click on capture from device, if not just import pictures and audio.

You will either have a collection of pictures or your newly created video on your list area, drag the images or video down to the bar at the bottom, in the order you would like them fall. Adding audio to this bar along the bottom is completed the same way.

Video effects and transitions are added after you have everything dragged that you would like in your storyboard bar along the bottom. Clicking the word storyboard at the bottom will change it to the timeline version. To use the effects or transitions, do it from the timeline. The effects go into the box in the lower left hand corner of each image there. The transitions get placed between the images, in the larger boxes between images.

All along the way. you can view your progress in the video box on the main page to the right. A good tip here is to set the order up, get your video images or videos in order along the bottom storyboard bar. Before you add transitions or effects, look to the upper left hand corner of your screen and click file and save as. Name the file and save. This is because at times, Windows Movie Maker can run slow and all of your hard work will be lost and you will need to start from scratch if you forget this step.

Next step is to edit and add your transitions and effects if you choose. This does make the upload and save times for your computer and for YouTube longer, so keep this in mind.

Add some audio now, either music or create a narration by clicking on the microphone near the lower bottom left side. Click along the storyboard bar where you wish the narration to begin, make sure you are not over an audio already placed as the start narration button will not show up if you do. Complete the narration by stopping narration and clicking done. This will materialize in your storyboard bar. Review your video at this point and possibly save from the file tab again.

When you are happy with your video, click save to computer. This is the file you will use to upload to sites like Youtube, not the saved one from the file menu.

I am looking forward to viewing many great Windows Movie Maker Videos on the net. Have fun because fun is truly the best thing to have. Remember happiness isn't real if it's not shared.

GOOGLE ME - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Understanding the power of the Google search engines and letting them go to work for you, can and will help you understand the keyword placements and usage. Using tools in connection with each other, will enhance each individual tool.

Competing in the Internet market and not having a grasp on the coined phrase of "Google Me", will hinder your Internet marketing career. The search engines are the highway for other people to locate you. Step back and consider the thoughts people would have and the questions and words they would type into an engine text bar, to get to your website, blog, or online profile.

Does the title of your site reflect the added content? What does your blog comment and inform about? What drew your attention to your own individual business? These are the questions to consider when thinking on what Google Me means. It has a personal twist for everyone and not all people will search the same phrases.

Whether you use the pay per click methods or free marketing methods, the search engines of Google, Yahoo, Ask, and many others have different ways that they rank your searchable keywords. The system of linking your personal name, nickname, and business keywords together is like a motor boat on the river. The motor boat would be the major search terms and the wake of this boat will then carry your name and nickname with it to the top of the original search terms. It's like bringing a friend to the shore, up and involved with the beach party.

Once you begin to include your name in the wake of other keywords, be certain to live up to these other search phrases and gain a growing knowledge of them. Become an expert in these search terms and understand what the people searching these terms are really looking for. Immerse yourself in the what, where of the searches and then discern who.

The what are they searching seems to be the first grasp of Google Me. Using the free tools at Google like their brilliant search tools, will help you decide your particular keywords.

Where will be a decision for both brick and mortar businesses and the Internet marketers. In your City, State, Country, or the World. This is the easiest to choose.

Figuring out the who will take the longest for you. Who is typing which search words? Which people want what you have to offer? Some actually fall right into their target group, while others need to spend some research time here.

Never get discouraged with the use of keywords and never let anyone tell you your chosen keywords are bad ones. You thought of it and connected it to your business, so others will too.

Especially with a brick and mortar business, the ease of getting Google Me to work for you will be much simpler. The brick and mortar business is only competing with their personal city and surrounding area, whereas the Internet marketer is competing with the World Wide Web. If you are a business owner outside of just the Internet, you must consider branding yourself now. Brand you, your name, and your business name by using and combining several keywords together on every post, article, press release, or blog that you have.

GOOGLE ME COORPORATE HISTORY!

Heres an except from The Google Site: http://www.google.com/corporate/history.html

"Google Milestones

Google is a play on the word googol, which was coined by Milton Sirotta, nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner, and was popularized in the book, Mathematics and the Imagination by Kasner and James Newman. It refers to the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros. Google's use of the term reflects the company's mission to organize the immense, seemingly infinite amount of information available on the web."

This gets even better! Enjoy!
