Google Lively Petition Awareness Livelyzens

I wanted to post this information for the Google Lively fans out there (Yes, I am one :) Check out Solum on Blog Talk Radio as this is who sent me this message:

The Livelyzens (Lively users) are coming together to appeal to Google to keep Lively alive. Lively is a great platform for interaction as well as creativity. It is easy to use, browser based, embeddable on webpages to bring a 3D experience right on your website.

While Lively has been in beta and has limited capability in terms of the objects and avatars available, the Livelyzens have been able to come up with very creative ways to create art from what is available. All this in a 3D world thanks to Google's vigilance in getting rid of rooms with inappropriate content. More than anything, Lively has become a place to make friends for life – from all over the world with wonderful people.

Please visit our website http://livelyzens.com and participate in the Lively Machinima contest we are conducting to show the creative potential of Google Lively.

Please also sign our online petition http://livelyzens.com/petition.aspx We kindly request netizens to support us in reviving a wonderful 3D world that is a kid friendly and a creative space for art and interaction amongst adults.

Everyone go check out the site and sign the petition! We did :) Blogs and Social Networks Blog Talk Radio with Stevie and Stephanie Haile aka Blogheiress and Wavecritter :)

Google Me Nutcracker Suite

THE NUTCRACKER SUITE Tchaikovsky - Disney FANTASIA

"The Nutcracker Suite: An ode to nature based on Tchaikowsky's six dances. Each dance is performed by the most unlikely dancers. Fairies, goldfish, thistles and many more perform the dances, but best of all is Art Babbit's Chinese Dance sequence, with mushrooms. The highlight of the sequence is Hob Low, a little mushroom who seems to lag behind the rest of the impeccable act. Brilliantly animated by Babbit, one of the best sequences in the movie." SEE MORE

Goodbye Google Lively

Goodbye Google Lively from Wavecritterz! :)

I had to say Goodbye to one of the greatest Internet concepts to grace the stage, Google Lively :) I have enjoyed Google Lively as I know many fans of Google Labs products have. I also completely understand the ending as the creation, existence, and new beginnings of a plethora of Virtual Worlds unfold into the vast reaches of the World Wide Web.

Here is part of the post from the Official Google Blog:

"That's why, despite all the virtual high fives and creative rooms everyone has enjoyed in the last four and a half months, we've decided to shut Lively down at the end of the year. It has been a tough decision, but we want to ensure that we prioritize our resources and focus more on our core search, ads and apps business. Lively.com will be discontinued at the end of December, and everyone who has worked on the project will then move on to other teams.

We'd encourage all Lively users to capture your hard work by taking videos and screenshots of your rooms.

Posted by The Lively Team" READ MORE

We just completed Blogs and Social Networks Virtual Worlds Online Radio show and is recorded to listen in anytime.

For those of you who have not been to visit Google Lively yet, you do have until December 31st to take a peek or check out these screen shots. I went and spent some time to capture some memories:

Google Me Vacation :)

Hiya everyone :) I have been vacationing on the island. I have been sorting through the multiple blogs, social networks, radio shows, and other sites I have spending time on and have whittled the list down to my very favorites as to focus on the ones I can better manage. I absolutely love to post on different Blogs and Social Networks and enjoy doing reviews on these sites :) I also enjoy Video Games and Gaming, with a few favorites and am currently working on a few very cool sites along these lines.

Here is a list of the sites I am going to focus on. Unfortunately, I cannot keep working the crazy hours I have been ( I would be surprised if anyone could for more than one and a half to two years straight lol :). So, I have whittled and weaned and decided on the following sites:

VideoGamesAndGaming.info Video Games and Gaming Online radio

VideoGamesAndGaming.net Our Wordpress Blog on Video Games and Gaming

Let me tell you a bit about my venture and vacation over the past four weeks :)

This is one of the coolest places I have ever been with a couple of large towns surrounded by various smaller ones. The people of this community are the absolute best and interaction with them is always a joy. There is always something new and exciting happening so be sure not to blink :)

Visiting the various landscapes of the island is an adventure in itself. On one side of the island are lush forested landscapes and farther to the east are desert lands, some sprinkled with palm trees and beautiful water features. Areas so vast that you may not come across another person for long stretches of time and towns packed to the gills, where you interact and make countless friends.

With so much to keep you busy, there is never a dull moment. If you enjoy some great fishing spots, this is the place for you. Ready areas to cook them up are available for your pleasure and experience as well. I become an expert in one of the activities they have to offer having fun and gaining experience along the way. Parties and groups get together regularly to travel into charted and uncharted territories. Get points with the island owners by ridding the towns of unwanted visitors and enemies using your gifted skills. A most relaxing and fulfilling vacation spot.

The towns are equipped for travelers from across the globe with banks, vendors for countless items, transportation, and food. The weather is always beautiful on the island as it hasn't rained in some time, seemingly never :) Always a friendly experience with helpful characters and visitors.

So...where am I talking about? Hmmmm....what is this island and where is it located? The Caribbean? Off Key West's Coast or Florida's East Coast?...

Nope :) OgreIsland.com Come and visit Woodly, Wavecritter or Wyverex and give us a wave (type in /wave) to say hello :)

Google Me Language Tools

Googles Language Tools Site is yet another handy site of Googles for the World Wide Web to use :)

"Type a search phrase in your own language to easily find pages in another language. We'll translate the results for you to read." Thats it, super easy. My friend Hank Dunckel just said he spoke with a French speaking man for over an hour using this. Hank doesn't speak a word of French and the other man does not speak English, no worries :)

I just had to add my very favorite of all time (so far lol ;) Google Graphic :)

Google Me Zimbio

Zimbio has an awesome site. Write an article, ping your blog, create a wikizine, create a Zimbio.com widget to share all of your wikizines on Blogger or Wordpress. Ohhhhh... Whats a wikizine? Ok. :) A wikizine is very much like a Hubpage or Squidoo Lens. You add articles, links, photos, or graphics, videos, news, polls, notes, about, and history where other Zimbio users can add like items to contribute to your wikizine, like an online magazine with multiple writers and one creator :)

Create a wikizine cover page too! Your style, your magazine cover, you start a wikizine to begin discussing a new topic or to share what you know. When your wikizine has enough content Zimbio will publish it. So, keep adding content until its published for best results. It took me about a half an hour to get each of my wikizines published and full enough of content at Zimbio.

Check out my site at Zimbio http://www.Zimbio.com/member/Wavecritter

Get your current events on Zimbio as well. Today in Pictures, updated wikizines, topics in the news, sponsors, browse wikizines by title, inside current events, cast your votes, polls, and listings. All by clicking the current events tab near the top center of the home page. Click pictures, entertainment, style, or sports tabs or the "more" dropdown for much more. Many topics, find members, quick links, all updates, and whats new from your dashboard, quick links, and ping your blog, write an article, and get your browser button (nice tool for sharing finds along the way). This is so cool after you install, too easy when you are reading an article or visiting a site that is interesting and relevant to one of your wikizines, click the browser button, you will see the add content menu, select the zine where you would like to add and save your content to.

From there, you can choose the content you would like to bookmark (like the specific photo or feed), click save and you are done :) Then, quickly head right back to the site you started at.

Zimbio.com is very much like a micro mini blog, wiki, Squidoo Lens or Hubpage melded as one unique blog site.

Setting Time

When Social Networks, Blogs, Free Advertising, and the rest involved with Internet Marketing seems to get out of hand and you can't quite grasp where to begin because you feel like you have fallen behind, no worries.

Set a time schedule for your work, not so much of a list of to dos. After you have decided which marketing techniques you will be using, then decide not exactly what you will accomplish each day, but how much time you have to spend on each method each day.

This will lesson the sense of "I can't possibly get all this done" sort of thing that happens when faced with multiple tasks like with Internet Marketers or rather, People who Market on the Internet :)

Setting time limits for Social Networks can greatly ease your feelings of "But, I need to spend time on Blogs, or Free Ads too". Say hello to your friends, check your messages and comments and then go visit with your friends or on their pages or groups, but set a time limit for each social network per day that you visit it :)

Setting tasks for yourself like I need to see all of my friends everywhere everyday may be something that you would like to do and may be something you can accomplish if you are focused on a few select social networks. If this is something that you would like to do, set your visited networks to the few you like best and this should be easier to manage.

Judge what is important to you and (if it applies) your business, and set your time to anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours a day on each network depending on your time constraints. And then weigh out the other sites. Can you live with only visiting them once a week or so? Once a month?

Prioritize your social networks making a list of them and rate each one using friends, fun level, applications, interaction with others, news, information, groups, and if you are interested in blogging look at the blog capabilities of that site. Peruse your list and then choose your top two or three sites to be your primary social network sites.

Then, it is all timed out. Set time limits for each marketing system, each social network, and each blog site you are a member of and if you plug along the times may get changed as you wish to spend more at one and less at another, but you will be less likely to get overwhelmed setting time limits instead of setting to do lists :)

Stephanie Haile aka Wavecritter Google Me ;)

Getting Into A Routine To Get Googled

Getting into a routine after you have started marketing your personal business can be as easy as doing it all right from the beginning. Sometimes we get lost or sidetracked and can't decide where to begin once we get back to it. If you get off track for a while, then no worries getting right back into it all.

Taking a survey of what you already have going, separated into Social Networks, Blogs, Free Advertising Sites, Capture Pages, Autoresponders, SoloAd Sites, Manual Traffic Sites, and then whatever else you have. Categorize it all into what is first costing you money each month, then the free things you like to do and are showing results, then, lump the other stuff over to side at first (you can sort through this all later).

Start your sorting with the things that you pay for each month. Ask yourself "Am I Using This Presently?" If so, then it's a keeper right now, if not, Are You Wanting To Use This? Then it should be placed at a high priority status for you and be sure to get busy with it within the week. Again, if thats not possible, then, maybe you should cut that one for now until you can properly use it. No need to spend money on things that are not helping your business grow.

Then, look over the methods that have produced results in the past or at present. Think about spending more time with these things and a bit less on the other methods you have tried, but either took a lot of time to complete, or you just did not get the results you wanted.

Google yourself and see what things come up on the first pages. Especially if you do not spend a lot of time on these items, I would consider placing them higher on your to do lists for the day. If with a little effort, these ways to market are in the forefront, then with a bit more effort, they may prove to be quite useful in your marketing systems :)

Enjoy,

YouTube and Omnisio Join Forces

YouTube and Omnisio Join Forces

"As you probably guessed, we’re big fans of anything that lets people interact with online video and gives the YouTube community the chance to express themselves in creative ways. New features such as Video Annotations, which allow you to insert comments and information into the video itself, are just one example of how we're beginning to expand what you can do with your videos on the site.

It’s in this spirit that we’re thrilled to announce Google’s purchase of Omnisio, a small California-based startup that’s focused on making online video more useful and collaborative. The Omnisio team has tremendous technical expertise when it comes to advanced video tools and having this kind of talent at YouTube should help us further explore ways to enhance your YouTube experience."

David Maillie, Google, and Ezine Articles

This was so brilliant I had to share this with all of you:

David Maillie said:

"Basically, there is a much deeper issue at play here. Its that the internet is over saturated with content and so great, quality content will rise to the top and poor quality rambles, thinly written articles and plagiarized content wil fall back where it belongs in the supplemental index. Google search keeps track of inbound links, references, stickiness (if someone is drawn to the website and looks at other pages or quickly clicks away) and more to measure the worthiness of a page of content. One super high quality, well written and researched article can easily give you better results than several thousand poorly or average written articles. There are some articles on the net that by themselves get more unique visits than all of the top 1000 authors here on ezinearticles put together! This is the theory behind linkbait - if you take the time to build it right, the masses will come."

David Maillie

The social media presentation was a huge confirmation for myself and My VM Team to place Social Media Marketing mediums in a specific order of importance, with sites and supporting blogs first, social networking sites second, and a sprinkled mix of other mediums you are using.

Home Depot with Melissa Minihan, did an organization alignment presentation who also gave confirmation about our mini teams set up to move toward a common goal.

Becoming one company with the same customer by creating teams that work collaboratively to meet customer and sales goals for all. Also, a return on ad spend. "What we spend on marketing dollars, we get back in results" was a main issue. Melissa mentioned the economy and its affect on marketing promotions.
